We continue to move forward with our ministry here. It's still really hard to work through the new culture. There is so much to learn here within the Quichua communities and we are learning daily. We have been so busy after returning from moving our kids into their respected Universities. God is doing some amazing things in the lives of our kids. They are both doing very well in their new chapter of life. They love their schools and their classes. They still have days where they struggle with things and it would be easier if mom and dad were there to help them. But God is always there to help them and comfort them. He has placed very special people in their lives and we are so thankful for that. That was one of our prayers when we left them in the states. We prayed, "God we are sacrificing so much leaving them behind and returning to Ecuador. Please send them good people to love on them and support them during this huge transition away from us." We serve a great Big God and He hears our prayers.
Continue to pray for us as we are getting ready to start a new phase in our ministry. We are so excited about this and I will update you more about this later. This is huge and we can not do it with our your prayers. We need strongholds to be broken and hearts to be open. God has got this!
We contine to pray for Susan's foot. As many of know she has had 2 surgerys this year. She is still has some issues with pain, swelling, and the ability to walk normally. I ask you to please join us in prayer as we are believing for a miracle.
I have been reading alot in the old testament here latley. It seems that the children of Israel struggled so much. They struggled with their identity, food, water, freedom and just simple direction. But God always had a leader for them. Someone for them to follow. Someone to pray for them, fight for them and lead them. There was Moses who lead them out of Egypt and slavery, Joshua who lead them to victory over Jericho and then you have all the judges. (We could go on and on about the many leaders.) They seemed to always find victory but it wasn't long until the were lost again. I have read through the OT many times but this time it has been different. It is like God has been speaking to me through these trials that the children of Israel faced and that they always found a way where there was no other way. God always sent the right person to get them back on track. Susan and I have been reading a lot more lately. Through these books we have been challenged to look at our life differently. Here are some of the books we have read and I would suggest you get these and read them as well.
Unstoppable - Christine Caine
Sun Stand Still - Steven Furtick

God has something big in store for us and for you. Lets look to the heavens because that is where our help comes from. Psalm 121:1
