Well, Susan and I have had a very busy Semana Santa (Holy Week). We have traveled to Panama and Costa Rica to learn more about reaching the unreached and planting churches within these groups. We came away with brand new ideas and encouraging words from pastors from the USA and missionaries from Latin America.
The Harvest is ready! Lets make it happen!
As you already know, we work with the Highland Quichua Indians of Imbabura Ecuador. We have faced so many challenges and so many battles. We struggle to learn a culture that has so many different beliefs and personalities, some of which we do not understand and probably never will. For example, Good Friday is more important than Resurrection Sunday. They believe in the death on the cross but not so much the resurrection. I could go on, but as you know my typing skills are not the best in the world.
Yesterday afternoon, we had the awesome privilege of doing an outreach in a Quichua community high in the mountains close to Otavalo. We were able to share with them about the love of Jesus and His resurrecting power. We also got to play some games, sing some fun songs and do a fun craft with the kids. In all there were about 80 in attendance with about 65 of them being kids.
We hope and pray each and everyone of you had a great Resurrection Sunday. We love you and appreciate all of our supporters.
