Clap your hands! After a summer full of teams, we are definitely clapping our hands to that song. We are exhausted, but it has been great. Well, we are coming up on the time when we return home to itinerate, and we are so excited to be able to spend time with our kids whenever we want to. There has been so many things that have happened since my last post. As mentioned before, we have had a summer slammed with teams from the states. With the teams here, we were able to advance a lot on the construction project and host several different vacation bible schools in different communities. In those VBS's, we ministered to 450-500 kids over a period of 2 weeks. In other news, I started a YouTube channel for HopeForTheHighlands video updates. I know I am not very good at this blogging thingy, and it's easier for me to be able to talk to you guys. Therefore, I started that YouTube channel to keep you as updated on our lives and ministry as possible. I would guess I'm not very good at blogging because I lack typing skills. I tried to take a class on that back in my college years at Arkansas Tech University, and I thought I could learn to type in a 5-week summer class. Well, that class lasted less than one week, and it didn't help me one bit.
Did you know that today is world emoji day? When I was in college back in the early 1990's, the world was learning about internet and email. Now we are celebrating emoji day? What will be next? What is your favorite emoji? I kinda like the "chocolate kiss..." 💩. I thinks Susan's favorite is the laughing-crying face 😂 or the coffee cup ☕️.
See? I told you that I am not good at this. I just ramble about non-important stuff.
Anyways, please keep us in your prayers, and hopefully, we will see you at church in the near future! We also just sent our latest newsletter out. If you would like a copy emailed to you, let us know via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or through Facebook. You should also check out our YouTube channel, and the link can be found on this website. Please subscribe to get updates!
